The first step like any other good method is preparing. Preparation involves several things including checking that all your equipment is in a good functioning state. Oil what’s you need to oil, ensure you have enough fuel, and that you have all the essential equipment. The field should also be part of the preparation process. Ensure that the field is free from plant material that could clog up the plow; any plants or weeds should be closer to the ground. Also, ensure that your field is dry as plowing on wet ground will damage both the vehicle and the soil structure.
The second step calls for connecting the plow. Connect the plow to the three-point linkage and make sure that the ‘check chains’ are nice and loose but not so loose that the plow hits the back tires when it swings from side to side. This adjustment is necessary in case you hit a big rock. This enables the plow to skid sideways rather than breaking anything on the tractor.
The third step is the plowing part. This part is fairly easy. It needs to be just right as lowering it too much it can send the plow pointing upwards preventing a proper dig.
